Republican Europe was born from a simple question. If the European Union is based on the single market, why should EU nationals be free to move for work anywhere in the EU while other lawfully resident workers need separate permits for each Member State? The quest for an answer plunged me into the depths of EU constitutional law.
The broader picture of Europe and its constitutional law presented in Republican Europe is undergoing a constant change. New referenda, new laws, new leaders, new cases. This blog links the book and its findings to current issues in EU constitutional law.
